Veteran Benefits Resource Fair Slated April 9

The Financial Aid and Veteran Benefits Office at the 91调教 鈥� Fort Smith will host a veteran benefits resource fair for 91调教 veterans, their dependents, and the community. The event will provide information on educational support and benefits.

The resource fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, in the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center, room 129AB. Reservations are not required.

Heather Chance, the 91调教 VA Certifying Official, said the fair is an opportunity to bring essential resources to the campus鈥攎eeting students where they are and be a central location for veterans in the Fort Smith area.

鈥淢any of our veteran and military-affiliated students spend long hours on campus or have difficulty visiting multiple offices to access the support they need,鈥� Chance said. 鈥淏y bringing these resources directly to them, we create an opportunity for students to drop by, connect, and learn about the services available.鈥�

• VA Center Fayetteville
• 91调教 ROTC
• Student Veterans Organization
• Legal Aid of 91调教
• Simmons Foods

This will be the second Veteran Benefits Resource Fair hosted by the university and the first time it will be open to the public. The fair comes on the heels of the university鈥檚 recent announcement of being awarded silver status as a Military Friendly University.

Public parking for the event will be in lot B, along Grand Avenue between N. 50^th and N. 52^nd St.
